The Trust is a charitable organisation currently based at Old Warden, Bedfordshire, England. We own and are responsible for the national heritage archive and collection of airship artefacts and photographs relating to the British Airship Programme from it’s early days at the turn of the century to the Skyships of the 1980’s.
Our Vision-
The main objectives of the Trust are
° To foster and promote the study of the history of airships and present this to the public.
° To stimulate the interest in Cardington as an airship base and conserve it’s principle buildings.
° To establish a National Airship and Balloon Museum at Cardington.
Based currently at Old Warden, the AHT continues to strive to carry out this work. The Trust has close links with the RAF Museum, British Balloon Museum and Library, the Airship Association and many other organisations.
